OREANDA-NEWS. December 8, 2011. Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Sergiy Arbuzov held a working meeting with Silvio Pedrazzi, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and Sergiy Naumov, Chairman of the Management Board of "PRAVEX-BANK" PJSCCB.

Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Sergiy Arbuzov emphasized that the National Bank of Ukraine aspires to become more open towards potential investors and banking institutions.

During the meeting the sides discussed the situation in the banking system of Ukraine, outlook for exchange rate stability and issues related to the investment climate.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board of "PRAVEX-BANK" Silvio Pedrazzi noted:”We confirm our commitment to continue working in Ukraine. Eastern European countries are very important for us and we believe in the region. We plan to extend the network of representative offices in Ukraine. We always stick to the goals set earlier, as we wish to be part of the country; these are our values and future.”

Chairman of the Supervisory Board of "PRAVEX-BANK" PJSCCB pointed out that the Intesa Sanpaolo banking group is one of the most powerful banking groups in the euro zone, which had passed International Broadcasting Awards (IBA) stress-tests and does not require additional capitalization.

“We share the view of the National Bank of Ukraine with regard to the monetary policy and liquidity. The Management Board of "PRAVEX-BANK" will always protect the interests of depositors and minimize their foreign exchange risks,” noted Silvio Pedrazzi.

Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Sergiy Arbuzov said that the National Bank of Ukraine keeps monitoring the situation the economic situation in the euro zone.

“We currently pay special attention to the banks with foreign capital operating in Ukraine. The set of instruments that will contribute to the replenishment of the gold and foreign exchange reserves and new monetary instruments for hedging against risks have been developed so far. We are ready to provide liquidity support to banks under real projects,” stressed the Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine.

Sergiy Arbuzov emphasized that the National Bank of Ukraine supports the ambitions plans of "PRAVEX-BANK" PJSCCB for the national development.

Finally, Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Sergiy Arbuzov expressed the hope that soon all the outstanding issues arisen within the framework of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund would be resolved.
