To introduce accelerated passenger traffic the complex of works to upgrade infrastructure and further separation of railroad moves freight and passenger is held. Because of this step transport corridors designed for high-speed trains of "Shkoda" and "Hyundai" will be released from freight trains. Also, not least for the normal operation speed area is that it is designed exclusively for passenger trains, not the heavy trucks that negatively affect the track.

Logistics of railway passenger transportation will be based on the European model. New inter-regional trains will run day and cross Ukraine from the border to another border - from east to west and from north to south - just for 11 hours. Transportation will provide daytime trains between the cities of Kyiv - Lviv, Kyiv - Donetsk and Kyiv - Kharkiv.

All procurement of new rolling stock made by own funds of railways and borrowed funds. According to preliminary data, the first trains of "Hyundai Rotem" arrive in February and March 2012.
