OREANDA-NEWS. December 7, 2011. The General Meeting of Shareholders of DTEK Holdings B.V., incorporated under the laws of the Netherlands, approved changes in the Supervisory Board. Mr Damir Akhmetov joined the Supervisory Board on November 21, 2011. Mr Roman Bugaiov was recalled from the Supervisory Board a day before. Currently, the Supervisory Board consists of 8 Directors, 3 of them independent.

‘Participation in DTEK’s Supervisory Board will help me gain unique experience by studying the best practices of corporate governance and of building up an efficient business model for an energy holding. DTEK is a large industrial company with European ambitions. Working in DTEK’s Supervisory Board requires a detailed study of a wide range of issues: starting with new coal mining technologies to complex instruments of international financing. I’m sure that in future I will be able to efficiently apply the knowledge I’ve received to participate in managing the Company and raising its capitalization’, Mr Akhmetov said.

In 2010, Damir Akhmetovgraduated fromSir John Cass Business School (City University London) as a Msc., from 1998 to 2006 he attended Le Rosey (Switzerland) under the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, graduating with a Bachelor degree.

Service-Invest, DTEK Energougol ENE and the associated Donetskoblenergo Company, where DTEK holds 30.6%, represent the electricity sales and supply business of DTEK.

DTEK also holds a 46.89% stake in Kievenergo, a company generating and supplying heat and electricity.
