OREANDA-NEWS. December 7, 2011. The US indices rose, but lost earlier bigger gains closer to the end of the session as S&P rating agency put a few European states ratings under review. S&P 500 Index added 1.02% while Russell was up by 0.63% with Financials as the leaders (+1.91%) and Healthcare (+0.17%) as the laggards.

ISM Non-manufacturing Index fell to 52 in November, below consensus forecast of 53.9.

Factory Orders declined 0.4% in October, below consensus forecast of a 0.3% decline.

Asian indices were mostly down on Tuesday. Hang Seng lost 1.29%. Japanese Nikkei was down by 1.39%, Korean Kospi - by 1.04. S&P/ASX 200 declined by 1.37%. Shanghai stock indices lost 0.4-1%.

GDP for the Eurozone will be in focus today.
