M2M Telematics Engineers Share Their Experience
OREANDA-NEWS. December 6, 2011. Leading specialists from the M2M telematics group have shared their unique experience of implementing GLONASS-based projects at the Satellite Navigation Equipment, Modules, Electronic Component, Production and Technologies conference, which took place during ChipExpo–2011, an annual exhibition at the Expotsentr Central Exhibition complex,
In particular, Technical Director Aleksey Kutsenko described the engineering and design works and construction of a prototype navigational and communications device with a redundant channel for receiving navigational data. The redundant channel was created using pulse-phase radio navigation system (PPRNS) technologies in line with the use of GLONASS /GPS traditional satellite positioning system technologies in combination.
Positioning method duplication enables the acquisition of more reliable navigation data in the conditions of a dense urban development, rugged (mountainous) terrain, high-latitude use of consumer navigation devices, or deliberate jamming of the satellite link used to receive navigation data when using a single satellite data transmission channel.
Using the subscriber terminal on transport vehicles increases the safety of any shipping operations, including their ability to prevent acts of terrorism, which is very important when transporting hazardous cargo. The experts also built a feature into the terminal’s design for using the it on sea and river vessels.
Our company traditionally pays great attention to developing both its own line of GLONASS-based navigational and communications equipment, and high-tech intelligent solutions from chipsets to introducing a complex intelligent transport system requiring an integrated approach, says Aleksey Smiatskikh, Executive Director of M2M telematics. - The high potential of our engineers enables us to implement projects of any complexity, which ultimately helps us to fully satisfy the technical requirements of a broad circle of consumers, including consumers with a narrow sector-oriented specialization."
