OREANDA-NEWS. December 6, 2011. JSC “Transneft” counts on launching BPS-2 after December, 15, – the President of the Company Nikolay Tokarev communicated to the journalists.

According to his words, “Transneft” finished all the necessary works within the framework of the project and “the technical problems remained, which are being eliminated by our neighbors”. “Anyway, this year we will launch the tanker within the framework of the project. I think, that everything will have been ready by December, 15-20”, – he said. N. Tokarev made it clear that within the framework of the project this year one tanker with the overall volume of 100 thousand tons is planned to be loaded. Next year the company plans to reach the volume of pumping at BPS-2 of 20 million tons.

The capacity of BPS-2 at the first stage is 30 million tons per year, the second stage of the project implies the increase of oil transportation up to 38 million tons per year. The termination of the second stage is planned for December, 2013.
