OREANDA-NEWS. December 6, 2011. Renaissance Capital, the leading emerging markets investment bank, has hired Damian Bunce as Managing Director, Global Head of Electronic Trading Group (ETG).

Mr. Bunce, who will join Renaissance Capital in February and split his time between Moscow and London, will become a member of the Markets Executive Committee and report to Nick Andrews, Global Co-Head of Markets. In this position, Mr. Bunce will focus on the integration of Renaissance’s electronic and traditional client franchises across both Equities and Fixed Income, providing clients with a seamless execution capability across Renaissance’s products and its key markets of Russia, the CIS, Central and Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa.

“Damian has significant experience in the electronic business, particularly in developed markets, and in technology, which, combined with our expertise in the Russian market, will be a very powerful combination,” said Mr. Andrews.

Mr. Bunce previously worked at Barclays Capital, where he was Managing Director and head of Electronic Trading Distribution for Europe and a member of the European Distribution Management Team. Prior to Barclays Capital, he was Head of Execution Sales in Europe at Goldman Sachs. He holds an MSc in Computer Science.
