OREANDA-NEWS. December 06, 2011. The 2011 China & Foreign Enterprise Culture Beijing Summit was held in Beijing, and Agricultural Bank of China Limited (ABC) was granted the award of "Top Ten Exemplary Organizations for Enterprise Culture 30 Years Practice", reported the press-centre of ABC.

As a distinguished guest, Mr. Che Yingxin, Deputy Party Committee Secretary of ABC accepted the award on behalf of ABC and delivered a speech in the special forum on integrated experience report of China enterprise culture practice in accordance with the subject of the Summit – "Enterprise Culture Practice Approaches and Modes".
 
In his speech, Mr. Che Yingxin pointed out that during the last 60-year development, ABC has developed together with the country, and spared no efforts in supporting the development of the national economy with the sense of overall situation and fulfillment of the mission. Meanwhile, ABC trained and forged the team of "Serving Sannong (agriculture, farmers and rural areas) and Assuming Responsibilities", accumulating and forming the profound culture heritage of ABC. ABC entered into "the best development period in history" with its long time development of various businesses and after the public offerings of A Share and H Share in 2010, which led it to a large public shareholding bank held by the state.

By the end of the third quarter, the total assets of ABC amounted to RMB11.6 trillion, with a net profit RMB100.8 billion, 43.6% higher as compared to the same period last year. The net interest yield came to 2.8%, the first one among the top four commercial banks consecutively, with market value ranking the sixth in the global banking sector.

Mr. Che Yingxin said, the rapid development of ABC was closely related to the strong support and leading of the enterprise culture. In recent years, the enterprise culture construction of ABC posted three "Leadings" and three "Realizations" with the high attention and decision making by the Party committee of ABC. The first is to realize cultural awareness through high-level leadership. The Party committee of ABC listed the enterprise culture as the significant measure for its reform and development in a view of implementing scientific development concept, clearly proposed the strategy of "Culture Strengthening", carrying out "Enterprise Culture Discussion" in the whole bank.

The staffs opened their minds and proposed more than 600 opinions and suggestions according to the plan and thoughts specified by headquarters. Based on this, the enterprise culture construction implementation plan of ABC was proposed, defining the strategic position, system frame, introducing path and assurance measures etc. for the enterprise culture construction of ABC. The second is to realize cultural confidence through professional leading and integrate the enterprise culture of ABC through a scientific and professional way, with "Ourselves Orientation and for Our Own Use". ABC has established special enterprise culture subject research team, carrying out one year's deep research and analysis, formulating the Report on ABC Enterprise Culture Reform and Development Research, which has paved the solid theoretic and practical road for the cultural development with ABC features.

In addition, with the introduction of Enterprise Culture Management Diagnostic Report of ABC and Enterprise Culture Management Manual of ABC stipulated by professional companies as well as the establishment of cultural system with value centralization, the level and professional standard of the enterprise culture construction of ABC has been promoted. The third is to realize culture plantation through vertical and horizontal leading. In order to have the real understand and acceptance of the core concept of ABC enterprise culture by the staffs, and the realization of "internally in heart, externally in form, stably in system", ABC has established enterprise culture leading and promotion committee, published "Enterprise Core Concept Plantation Implementation Plan", focusing on culture promotion, culture connection and culture transformation.

Finally Mr. Che Yingxin pointed out, higher requirements on the enterprise culture construction was put forward in the sixth Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee, enterprise culture construction still had a long way to go while possessed the new development opportunity.  ABC will take the advantage of the Summit, implement the spirit of the sixth Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee, promote culture awareness, strengthen culture confidence and boost the development of the enterprise culture in the direction of modernization, systemization and refinement.
