OREANDA-NEWS. December 5, 2011. The overall equity capital of the banking sector in Azerbaijan starts reducing, although from the record level.

According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, as of 1 November 2011 domestic banks’ charter capital amounted to AZN 2.049 bn against AZN 2.05 bn by 1 October (historical record) and AZN 1.897 bn by early 2011.

This August the level of equity capital declined by 0.1% and since early 2011 has grown by 8.05%.

Banks’ year-on-year capital increased by 9.4% against the index by 1 November 2010 equal to AZN 1.87 bn.
