OREANDA-NEWS. December 05, 2011. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Tyumen region (Tyumen OFAS Russia) fined “SUENKO” OJSC over 10 million Rubles for breaching Technological Connection Rules, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The case was initiated upon a petition from a physical person that the company failed to observe the time-schedule for technological connection to electric power networks. The Commission of Tyumen OFAS Russia established that in the contract “SUENKO” OJSC mentioned a possibility to extend the period for technological connection and exercised measures for providing technological connection within the time-frame exceeding the maximum statutory period. Therefore, the company infringed the interests of physical persons who applied for connection to electric power networks. The Rules for technological connection specify the time-frame for connecting physical persons to electric power networks – no more than six months.

“The company unlawfully avoided properly executing its responsibilities. Our decision will help prevent such actions from economic entities that have dominant positions and the fine has a preventive character”, said the Head of Tyumen OFAS Russia, Mr. Dmitry Shalabodov.
