OREANDA-NEWS. December 2, 2011. ZAZ has started mass production of ZAZ Lanos equipped with 16-valve 1.4 liter engine production and GM automatic transmission from Aisin Company (Japan). The fuel injection system and support mechanisms have been adapted in order to ensure correct operation of the vehicle and to achieve optimal performance in speed and toxicity. At the moment, the engine F14D4 (ECO TEC) – is one of the newest in the line of GM. With a working volume of 1.4 liters, it develops power of 101hp and meets Euro4. Automobile is presented in sedan and hatchback.

In November, have already been produced 365 cars Lanos with automatic transmission. In total, the plant plans to produce up to 1,500 of such vehicles till the end of the year.
The plans of Zaporizhia car plant for the next year to begin mass production of Lanos modifications, operating on liquefied natural gas. Vehicles with LPG kit will be equipped with toroidal tank located in the spare wheel recess luggage and spare wheel will be attached by a special bracket to the back of the rear seat. The completion of work on the adaptation of the control units is planned in April 2012. The production’s start date – is May 2012.
