OREANDA-NEWS. December 02, 2011. The Government of Uzbekistan approved programmes on targeted measures on developing tourism sector and increasing export potential of tourism services in all regions for 2011-2012 in order to improve tourism infrastructure in the country.

Total budget of the programme makes up 385.5 billion soums, including own resources of initiators – 314.8 billion soums, loans of commercial banks – 63 billion soums and budget resources – 7.68 billion soums.

By the end of 2012, it is planned to construct 77 hotels and similar establishments, create 90 tourism sights, create 70 service points for tourists and purchase 53 buses and mini-buses to serve tourists.

Representatives of central and local governments, interested ministries and departments, Uzbektourism and its regional branches, tourism companies participated in the development of the programme, which is single action for development of tourism in the region.

The programme consists of six blocks, which unites measures related to main types and directions of tourism development.
