OREANDA-NEWS. November 30, 2011. The 2011 Second Siberian Energy Forum comes to a close in Krasnoyarsk today.

Evgeniy Zhadovets, Executive Director of JSC “Yenisei TGC (TGC-13)”, spoke at the plenary session, Efficient Energy – Key Driver towards Economy Modernisation, on 16 November.

In his speech, he summarised the company’s operations since it was launched five years ago.

“Yenisei TGC” was set up on 31 December 2006 as the generation assets of Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia were merged.

Over five years, from 2007 to 2011, the energy company has allocated over 18,700 million roubles for the purpose of renovating energy facilities, including 12,600 million roubles for new construction. During this period, “Yenisei TGC” generated over 50 billion kWh of electricity and supplied over 70 million Gcal of heat. Taxes paid to various budgets and extrabudgetary funds exceeded 8 billion roubles, out of which about 3 billion roubles were contributed to the budget of Krasnoyarsk Territory.

As Evgeniy Zhadovets underlined, Krasnoyarsk is one of the most dynamic cities in the country and, with the demand for electricity and heat growing year by year, the company makes every effort to meet the current needs of the population.

“"Yenisei TGC" was established during the reform of the national energy industry,” Evgeniy Zhadovets said, “and our company, like other generators in the country, is now private. There are both advantages and disadvantages to this. I should note that the company has made advances over the post-reform period. As one of the achievements, the security of heat supply was increased. There has been no break throughout main heat systems over the last three years.

The number of equipment failures decreased significantly.

The company has been consistently repairing and renewing its fixed assets. In particular, “Yenisei TGC” has replaced 180 km of heat networks over five years”.

“Yenisei TGC” has also been implementing a large-scale investment programme. Two projects have already finished with a turbine reconstructed at Minusinsk CHP and a turbine set reequipped at Kansk CHP. Power unit 1 is about to be finished at Krasnoyarsk CHP-3 where individual testing of thermal and electrical equipment is already being conducted. Furthermore, other two power delivery projects have been launched – the renewal of power unit 7 has begun at Nazarovo GRES and preparation work is being done before the construction of a new unit at Abakan CHP.

“Our efforts give a huge impetus to further development of Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, and the Republic of Khakassia. This includes energy resources for both industrial and social needs; development of allied industries, particularly power construction; and creation of new jobs. Thus, over 800 jobs were created at our facilities. Moreover, about 2000 employees of our contractors and subcontractors are involved in power construction projects, most of them living in our region. “Yenisei TGC” places high emphasis on both energy efficiency and environmental aspects of its activities. While giving light and heat to communities, we try to take care of the future, not only the current needs of the population,” Evgeniy Zhadovets added.
