Reliance Infrastructure Limited (RInfra), India's largest integrated power distribution company, launched one more IT based online initiative for Mumbai suburban consumers. RInfra consumers, who have made their Security Deposits payment online, can now download their payment receipt and save it on computer and / or can take a printout.

This service will only be available to suburban Mumbai consumers, who are on RInfra's distribution network and are using 'My Account' section of RInfra's website, for their electricity related transactions.

Currently, the Security Deposit payment receipts are downloaded immediately after the payment, once it was displayed online. However, if any customer forgot to save the receipt, he/she would not have any record confirming the Security Deposit payment. Now, RInfra's 'My Account' facility will keep this receipt available for download for next three months from the date of payment.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Lalit Jalan, CEO & Director, Reliance Infrastructure Ltd. said, "We are happy to launch one more consumer centric IT initiative that will give them enough time to downloading their security deposit payment receipt. This initiative has been developed based on our consumer feedback. We regularly listen to our consumer demand and fulfill them through various innovative IT initiatives."

Known for implementing consumer friendly technologies in power distribution, RInfra has implemented several leading IT based services like - 'E-Courtesy' - Automated follow-up mail service for information sought; Centralized web / email handling desk; Complaints registration and closure alerts; SMS bill payment using ITZ Cash Card; Introduction of Pull SMS services for Bill delivery complaint; new informative website; mobile bill view and payment etc.

Further, RInfra also has a Personalized "My Account" facility available online for its consumers where they can access customized services like, billing details, consumption trends and analysis; online contact details and profile updation, mailing facility, consumption calculator and payment history. Recently, company has also made available all these records available for consumers on their mobile - http://rn.rinfra.com.

RInfra is the largest power distribution company in Mumbai with the licensed distribution area spread over 400 Sq. Kms. in suburbs and surrounding areas of Mumbai. It is supplying power to around 2.7 millions consumers. Company has been recently mandated to distribute electricity for next 25 years, i.e., till 14th August 2036.
