OREANDA-NEWS. November 30, 2011. For the first 10 months of this year KAMAZ has sold more than 30 thousand KAMAZ vehicles and retained its leading positions as a seller of commercial vehicles on the Russian market.

According to Olga Barova, Director of Vehicle Sales Development of KAMAZ FINANCE AND TRADING COMPANY, construction and commercial vehicles are the most popular purchases. The lion’s share of vehicles is sold through a dealer network of KAMAZ. To date, more than 80 dealerships are engaged in this business. Clients have lately been very interested in higher capacity KAMAZ-6520 dump trucks. All-wheel drive vehicles, KAMAZ-43118 in particular, also enjoy wide popularity.

The market welcomed restyled vehicles too. The demand for certain vehicles of KAMAZ’s model range is steadily going up. The most purchased trucks are KAMAZ-65116, KAMAZ-44108 bolster-type tractors, and KAMAZ-65117 high-sided vehicles. As to restyled dumpers, customers show preference to KAMAZ-65115, -6520, -6522 models.

Another market segment in which the leader of the Russian automobile industry is a strong player is chassis and special-purpose vehicles. Over 200 producers of special vehicles mount their products on KAMAZ chassis. The most called-for special vehicles are assembled at the production facilities of OJSC KAMAZ. Since August of 2011 the automobile plant of the company has been producing KAMAZ vehicles with crane manipulators.
