American ambassador in China Gary Locke met with TISCO Group and Harsco Company leadership in Garden International Hotel, who came here for the purpose to attended the foundation stone laying ceremony of Steel slag comprehensive utilization project of Shanxi Taigang Harsco Science and Technology Co., LTD, reported the press-centre of TISCO.

Gary Locke said he was happy to see two big companies cooperated to construct the world's largest steel slag comprehensive utilization project. He said, with the increasing growth of population, the world steel demand is increasing constantly, comprehensive utilization of steel slag and development of iron associated product recovery technology will benefit the people. He wished that the cooperation between TISCO and Harsco could set up a model for the world’s other companies and make contribution to global environmental protection. He said, TISCO has rich experiences in steel production, while United States Harsco Company has steel slag processing technology, the establishment of the joint venture company and the implementation of steel slag comprehensive utilization project by two sides is a complementary advantage.

TISCO president Li Xiaobo was grateful to Gary Locke for attending project foundation stone laying ceremony. He said, TISCO was taking firm steps to the large international enterprise group, many world level high-end scientific and technological achievements were applied in TISCO, and a sales company was set up in the United States. He said he believed that TISCO would get progress in the United States.

The United States embassy in China minister commercial counsellor Cai Ruide, the United States Harsco Company President and CEO Salvador Fazurary,TISCO secretary of the party committee Yang Haigui, the Group Company General Manager Gao Xiangming, deputy general manager ZhouYizhou attended the meeting.
