OREANDA-NEWS. November 29, 2011. Swedish company Getinge Group to launch the project on equipping medical institutions of Moldova with modern equipment valued at 23 mln. EUR. This was announced by chairman of the administrative board of the company Carl Bennet at his meeting with prime-minister of Moldova Vladimir Filat. Carl Bennet pointed out that Getinge Group is leader in equipments and systems in the field of health care and medical research.

The company is highly experienced in applying modern technologies and systems which improve the quality of health care service. The decision to initiate cooperative projects with Moldova was made by the company’s managers after the meeting with Vladimir Filat when his paying an official visit in Sweden in September this year. Carl Bennet pointed out that the project to be realized is provided with long term financing. Swedish state investment is attracted and favorable conditions are made to back this project.

The proposal of the Swedish side corresponds to the aims of the Strategy of development in the field of health care of Moldova and will further upgrading and improving medical institutions’ services, minister of health of Moldova Andrei Usatii says. Prime-minister of Moldova Vladimir Filat expressed his gratitude to Swedish partners for support whish is important for Moldova. According to him, the project can’t solve all problems of the health care system of Moldova, but, undoubtedly, it can set a good example for future prospects.

Vladimir Filat reaffirmed that the government of Moldova is open pr cooperation and pointed out that promoting the health care system is one of the primary tasks for cabinet ministers. The side arranged to create a working group on elaborating the project and drawing juridical agreements. The formal document concerning the terms of the project’s launch may be signed as early as in December, 2011.
