OREANDA-NEWS. November 28, 2011. Gazprom Neft Lubricants has completed the acquisition of CJSC NK Selekt, owner of a lubricant producing facility in Fryazino, Moscow Oblast. The newly-acquired asset has been renamed as “Gazprom Neft Moscow Lubricants Plant” (Gaprom Neft MLP).

The plant's annual production capacity is over 40 thousand tons of packaged products, including motor oils, transmission fluids, industrial lubricants and technical fluids. The factory's equipment includes manufacturing area for precision blending and packaging of oil, a tank farm with a capacity of 3000 cubic metres, road and rail filling and draining racks with pumping units, storage and treatment facilities, administrative and laboratory buildings.

“By purchasing the facility in the central region of Russia we significantly expand the Company’s production and logistic capacity in this business segment,” said Anatoly Cherner, Gazprom Neft's Deputy CEO for Logistics, Processing and Sales. “Gazprom Neft’s market position in Russian lubricants market will be strengthened a lot by developing a new production base in the European part of Russia as well as enhancing the company’s activity in Western Siberia.”
