OREANDA-NEWS. November 28, 2011. In its role as Partner and Official Professional Services Provider to the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan, PwC Russia hosted a meeting of Universiade 2013 partner company executives and representatives of the Universiade 2013 Executive Directorate in its Kazan office on 18 November 2011. During the meeting, the decision was taken to form the League of Partners of the World Summer Universiade 2013, which will allow partner companies to unite their efforts under the ideological umbrella of the Universiade, reported the press-centre of PwC.

The meeting was attended by representatives from MegaFon, headed by Kazan 2013 Project Manager Sergey Obydennikov; Ak Bars Bank, headed by Director of the Retail Business Department Marat Ganeev; and PwC, led by Partner and Russia Advisory Leader Robert Gruman as well as Kazan Office Leader Denis Derevyankin.

With the active participation of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate, the partners will be implementing joint projects focused on the prospective development of their specific industries. Such joint projects are to become part of the Kazan 2013 legacy. Moreover, the members of the Partners League intend to integrate the spirit of the World University Summer Games into their internal corporate culture.

Igor Sivov, Deputy General Director of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate, emphasised:
“It’s crucial that our partner companies, recognised leaders in their respective fields, are able to find opportunities to integrate the development of their businesses within the framework of their partnership with the 2013 Summer Universiade.”

PwC Russia signed a Memorandum of Intent with the Executive Committee of Universiade 2013 in December 2010. In its exclusive role as Partner and Official Professional Services Provider, PwC will provide business consulting and financial advisory services to help the Executive Committee be even more effective in its planning and preparations. PwC will carry out projects in the following areas: tactical and operational planning; budgeting and financial planning; taxation and customs.
