Ukraine, Kazakhstan to Intensify Cooperation in Industrial Projects
OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2011. Ukraine and Kazakhstan are going to intensify cooperation in joint industrial projects. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said this at a joint press conference with Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov.
"We intend to intensify our cooperation in the field of joint industrial projects. We are ready to participate in a large program of industrialization of Kazakhstan" - Ukrainian Prime Minister noted.
"At the same conditions we propose Kazakh companies to participate in projects in Ukraine" - Mykola Azarov mentioned but he stressed that the potential of cooperation between Ukraine and Kazakhstan had prospects for development.
However, Mykola Azarov stressed that Ukraine is a transit state and he had proposed Kazakh side to use transit opportunities of Ukraine.
Moreover, Mykola Azarov noted that trade turnover between Ukraine and Kazakhstan increased for 70 percent for the first 9 months of this year.
The Head of Ukrainian Government informed that the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Kazakh Commission would be held at the level of vice prime ministers and would be held in Astana at the end of December.
In tern, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan expressed hope that bilateral relations would develop dynamically.
"We hope that Ukraine will become our guide, a window through which Kazakhstan will move to Europe, in turn, Kazakhstan is ready to become a guide of Ukraine in the Asian region" - Karim Masimov noted.
