TNK-BP Enhances Transparency of Interaction with Suppliers in Ukraine
OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2011. TNK-BP Commerce, a subsidiary of the TNK-BP Group, held a third meeting of the Ukrainian regional council for interaction with suppliers and contractors. Discussion of instruments for improvement of the contracting process is particularly important in conditions of the current contracting campaign for 2012 and prior to the scheduled shutdown of the Lisichansk Oil Refinery, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.
The use of innovative approaches in the contracting system of the company was started in September 2010, when the first forum of TNK-BP’s suppliers and contractors was held in Moscow. The conflict resolution commission in Ukraine started its work in December 2010, and the first meeting of the Ukrainian regional council for interaction with suppliers and contractors was held in April 2010. The second forum of suppliers and contractors took place in September 2011, during which the participants discussed the results yielded by the first year of implementation of TNK-BP’s new approach to interaction with suppliers and contractors and the complex of measures for prevention of corrupt practices and corporate ethics violations.
“We are paying particular attention to transparency of contracting and use of innovative and flexible business solutions,” stressed Feliks Itskov, Vice President, Supply Chain Management and Infrastructure, TNK-BP, during his speech at the meeting of the Ukrainian regional council. “Feedback of our contractors and thorough understanding of the situation in every market segment is very important for us.”
