airBaltic Second Best Among World’s Airlines for Service Onboard
OREANDA-NEWS. November 23, 2011. The Latvian national airline airBaltic has been awarded a Silver medal in ISPY 2011 for the quality of its cabin service. The awards are announced annualy in the United Kingdom with professionals participating from airlines around the world.

ISPY or “Inflight Sales Person of the Year” competition is held annually in the UK, and over the past 10 years airlines from around the world have sent their best selling cabin crew to ISPY to receive outstanding reward and recognition. Last weekend, Olegs Homickis of airBaltic’s cabin crew won a Silver award in the ISPY 2011 for selling with emotional intelligence and maximising sales techniques. This year, globally recognised airlines were considered for the awards, including Air Canada, American Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Delta, Etihad Airways, SAS, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Vueling, US Airways.
airBaltic has previously won the Pacesetter Award from the Jury of the Budgies World Low Cost Airline Awards, recognising achievements of airBaltic as a trendsetting hybrid airline. airBaltic has also received the title of Airline of the Year 2009/2010 (Gold Award) from the European Regions Airline Association. airBaltic is also the winner of Air Transport World Phoenix Award 2010 – a global recognition of excellence in restructuring business, an award that has the same meaning for airlines as the Oscar award for filmmakers.
