OREANDA-NEWS. November 23, 2011. An international tennis training center costing 400 million yuan was inaugurated in Suzhou City, Anhui Province on Nov.11, which is regarded as an epitome of booming sports industries in the province.

Just in April this year, Anhui Sports Administration inked a contract with Guangzhou Rongjie Investment Management Group, and according to which, the latter will pour 10 billion yuan in supporting sports industries in Anhui.

Though still a business in the bud, sports industry in Anhui has drawn flows of gold diggers to the province.

A series of national-level training bases and sports events settled in Anhui Province, which are represented by a tennis training center in Tianzhu Mountain, Asian Weight Lifting Tournament in Tongling and National Beach Handball Tournament in Lu'an.

For the coming year, Anhui's capital city of Hefei will host inter-continent sports events, such as Asian Skating Tournament, and Weiqi Game among China, Japan and Korea.

Opinions on Accelerating Sports Industries in Anhui Province was unveiled this year, stipulating that the industry will take a share of over 0.5 percent of total output in the province by the end of 2015.
