OREANDA-NEWS. November 23, 2011. Airport in Jiuhua Mountain, a renowned sacred Buddhism site in Anhui Province starts construction of its runways Nov.21, marking the final stage towards the completion of the airport.

Located at Guichi District of Chizhou City, the aiport is about 20 kilometers away from downtown areas of both Chizhou and Tongling City, 26 kilometers away from Jiuhua Mountain scenic spot.

The airport is expected to be put into service by the end of 2012, by then, it will be capable of handling the taking off and landing of aircrafts including Boeing 737 and Airbus 320.
