This is the fifth Baosteel invested domestic two-piece can factory following those in Shanghai, Hebei, Chengdu, and Foshan. So far, Baosteel Metal Co.,Ltd. has completed two-piece can manufacturing and service system domestic coverage strategic layout, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.

Different from Shanghai Baoyi Can-making and Hebei Baosteel Can-making which are steel two-piece can manufacturers, Wuhan Baosteel Can-making Company is a aluminum two-piece can factory jointly ventured by Baosteel Metal and Global Allied International Ltd.. It provides aluminum cans support service to famous beverage companies such as Wong Lo Kat, Coca-Cola, Pepsi and Tsingtao beer. The line wire-speed is 1400 cans per minute, with yearly production capacity of up to 480 million.

Wuhan Baosteel Can-making starts construction in July last year. After it is successfully put into operation in February this year, Wuhan Baosteel Can-making technical staff are committed to improving the production line productivity and product quality, they constantly overcome technical difficulties. The company has passed famous brands' qualified supplier certification including Coca-Cola, Tsingtao beer, Pepsi, and JDB and begin to supply in large quantities. It successfully opens aluminum two-piece can market and offer experience for Baosteel Metal follow-up aluminum can-making project .

It is known that Baosteel Metal will build twoaluminum can production lines in Shanghai and Foshan in the next year and Baosteel Metal Shanghai Can-making base will be put in operation. By then, Baosteel Metal two-piece can and lid annual production capacity will exceed 5 billion and the production mode of "steel and aluminum, lid and can" will be formed to better meet customer needs.
