Israel to Train Staff for Azerbaijan ICT Sector
OREANDA-NEWS. November 22, 2011. Communications & IT minister Ali Abbasov has received today in Baku his Israeli counterpart Moshe Kahlon.
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications & IT reports that during the meeting Abbasov focused on consideration of the ICT sector prospects and the necessity to achieve new successes for cooperation expansion.
"Collaboration in the field of ICT between Azerbaijan and Israel will tell much not only on the business but also on bilateral relationships," Abbasov said.
The Israeli minister, in turn, noted that his country had vast experience in the field of ICT and possibilities for realization of such projects in Azerbaijan.
He voiced Israeli companies’ interest to invest in Azerbaijan and foster ties in the ICT sector. Mr. Kahlon also emphasized availability of favorable conditions for cooperation in several areas.
Within the meeting the sides covered issues of cooperation in widening the range of Internet services, improving the quality of TV and radio broadcasting, introduction of modern technologies, development of space industry, E-Government Project, transfer to digital TV and launch of Azerbaijan’s second satellite into orbit.
Besides, the parties discussed the matters of training of new personnel in the field of ICT in a way of education and trainee job of Azerbaijani youth and professionals in Israel.
