OREANDA-NEWS. November 22, 2011. Belarus’ Food Industries Concern Belgospischeprom suggests replacing alcohol production quotas with quotas on alcohol supplies to the domestic market, in order to facilitate alcohol export.

The proposal was approved by the Belarusian parliament, which adopted amendments to the “Law on state regulation of production and turnover of alcohol and products with ethanol and methanol content”.

The move is intended to facilitate alcohol export and reduce per capital consumption of hard spirits in Belarus.
