OREANDA-NEWS. November 22, 2011. Enterprises subordinate to the Agriculture Ministry of the country increased export of farm products 18.6% on the year in January-June 2011 to U.S. USD 1.938 billion, an official in the ministry told reporters.

The rise in exports was owing to the increase in prices and higher volume of supplies.

Foreign trade surplus came to USD 1.72 billion in the first nine months of the year.

Dairy products accounted for 58.7% of all exports, meat and meat products 30.1%, casein 3.6%, and eggs 1.4%.

Exports to Russia reached USD 1.732 billion, up 17.4%, to other CIS countries were at USD 114.4 million, up 40%, to foreign non-CIS states USD 91.7 million, up 16.5%, including USD 73.3 million worth of exports to the EU, up 4.1%.
