OREANDA-NEWS. November 22, 2011. Belarus plans to allow retail trade in alcohol beverages by means of mobile shops for all types of business enterprises, provided they comply with certain requirements.

The new norm is facilitated by an amended bill, which enables state control over production and turnover of alcohol, including products containing inedible alcohol, which passed its first reading in the lower chamber of Belarus’ parliament on Friday.

At the moment, alcohol trade via mobile shops is the domain of companies run by the President’s Business Department and the Consumer Cooperation Union of Belarus (Belkoopsoyuz).

Furthermore, the bill bans outdoor trade in alcohol beverages and alcohol delivery services.
