OREANDA-NEWS. November 22, 2011. In October 2011 on regular flights of Air Moldova airline were transported 42 000 passengers, that is by 2% more in comparison with the similar period of 2010, reported the press-centre of Air Moldova.

The largest growth of passenger traffic was recorded on directions Chisinau-London (99%), Chisinau-Wien (54%), Chisinau-Athens (43%), Chisinau-Paris (21%), Chisinau-Kiev (18%).

More than 1000 passengers used in October Air Moldova transfer service from Moscow, Sochi, Kiev and Bucharest to Europe, through Chisinau International Airport as a transit HUB. In the period January- October 2011 there were transported more than 8200 transfer passengers.

In October 2011, the volume of cargo and mail transported by Air Moldova consisted 126 tons, indicating an increase of 21% in comparing with the similar period of 2010.
