OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2011. Rossiay Airlines solemnly greeted the milestone passenger in 2011. It was Vadim Yeliseev from Murmansk, flight PL342 Murmansk-Saint Petersburg.

The 3m passenger was identified at the flight registration desk and it became a pleasant surprise for him. A representative of Rossiya Airlines in Murmansk congratulated a lucky person and upgraded his ticket to the business class, and thereafter he was invited to wait for his flight at the business hall of the airport.

Vadim Yeliseev is a business passenger and he flies to Saint Petersburg on business. “Such flights occur about 2 times a week. I prefer air transport as it is most effective and fits for those who flies on urgent business”, - he admits. Vadim Alexandrovich was also glad to fly on board AN-148 which was his first trip.

This celebration involved everybody who flew this flight: the airline prepared festive food – cakes and champagne; the cabin crew arranged a “red carpet” welcome of passenger near the stairway.

When arrived to Pulkovo, the “red carpet” welcome was arranged for the 3m passenger. Deputy General Director for Commerce of Rossiya Airlines Dmitry Ye. Zvonarev congratulated the milestone passenger and gave a bouquet of flowers and certificate to get the subscription for 8 return flights between Saint Petersburg and Murmansk. Also, gifts from the partner companies of of Rossiya Airlines waited for the passenger: BBCC Co. and Zenith FC prepared a branded-name T-shirt signed by football players.

The Company annually carries about 3 million people and usually meets its milestone passenger on or about the New Year. But this year Rossiya demonstrates a significant growth of the passenger traffic figures (+13%), thus the 3m passenger was welcomed already in October.
