OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2011. Mazeikiai district municipality and Public Company ORLEN Lietuva has signed two support agreements, under which 10 bus stop shelters and four children play grounds will be installed. This year, ORLEN Lietuva has allocated 637 thousand Litas for the local community projects, reported the press-centre of ORLEN Lietuva.

The today’s two agreements provide for the ORLEN Lietuva’s commitment to grant 120 thousand Litas for installation of 10 bus stop shelters in Zemaitijos and Skuodo streets and 80 thousand Litas for installation of four new children playgrounds in the yards of Mazeikiai apartment houses.

“ORLEN Lietuva understands the importance of its business in and impact on the life and well-being of Mazeikiai district and always puts efforts to contribute, to the possible extent, to solution of issues concerning all residents of Mazeikiai,” said Ireneusz Fafara, General Director of ORLEN Lietuva.

The Company has decided to continue cooperation on the project, which was started in 2005 and is related to home nursing the elderly lonely ill people by the Mazeikiai Branch of the Lithuanian Red Cross Society. This year, the Company, for this purpose, has budgeted 25 thousand Litas.

The Company also funds the Public Institution Mazeikiai Sports Center to support the Mazeikiai men’s basketball club this season; the Company allocated 320 thousand Litas.

ORLEN Lietuva will allocate 30 thousand Litas for this year’s Christmas and New Year events in Mazeikiai be build and decorate a Christmas Tree in the town. Additionally, the Company will decorate Naftininku Street.
