OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2011. The Management Committee took notice of the information on the work done to improve gas transmission across other countries as well as on optimization of tariffs and gas amounts supplied in 2005–2010.

It was noted that the gas transit optimization efforts carried out between 2005 and 2010 enabled Gazprom to achieve the total economic effect of USD 4 billion. Utilization of transmission capacities was significantly optimized through gas injection into European underground storage facilities during the summer period for the purpose of using it during peak demand.

The Management Committee tasked to continue the gas transit optimization efforts in 2012–2013.
