OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2011. The second retailer in the world French company Carrefour has expanded the network of hypermarkets in the United Arab Emirates. This week the company opened a hypermarket in Abu- Dhabi, which became the 15th store in the UAE.

Partner that supplied checkout-boxes for the world-famous network became Modern-Expo, one of biggest manufacturers and suppliers of fixtures for retail warehouse in Central and Eastern Europe.

The area of new hypermarket is about 8800 square meters. It is situated in a modern large shopping center built in 2011.

The representatives of Carrefour said that in the future they are going to aggressively expand its network in the Middle East and UAE, in particular, because these regions are very promising markets.
