OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2011. Total harvester production in Russia rose 39.5% year on year to 5,797 units in January-September 2011, according to ASM Holding analysts’ data.

Of the total, output of grain harvesters was up 36.8% to 4,887 units in the first nine months of 2011. Factory shipments rose 1.8 times to 5,664 grain harvesters in the period.

Output of forage harvesters rose 56.1% year on year to 910 units in January-September 2011. Shipments rose 1.5 times to 1,123 forage harvesters.

Among other farm equipment, Russia produced in the period 2,144 ploughs (up 2.3 times as compared to January-September 2010); 4,076 seeders (up 1.9 times); 25,800 cultivators and 5,035 harrows (up 1.8 times); 2,941 mowing machines (up 1.3 times to January-September 2010).
