OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2011. Ningbo authorities have implemented the differentiated power fee policy for 93 local stainless steel producers to accelerate the elimination of outmoded capacity.

Over the past month, a total of 3.15 million yuan of electricity fees were collected under this policy.

As of the end of October, 11 plants had halted production due to the extra burden and 13 others had been forced to tear down their substandard facilities - taken together, reducing obsolete production capacity by 105,000 tons, an equivalent of 25,000 tons of standard coal.
