OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2011. The second stage of the reconstruction of artificial landing strip of the SE "International airport "Lviv" is completed.

As a whole, landing strip renovation at the Lviv airport is divided into three launch complexes. The first, which envisioned building of a lengthened section of the artificial landing strip and ramp №2, have already been fulfilled. It has allowed transferring flights of airplanes to new section; the builders have started dismantling the old section of an artificial landing strip and have started a following stage of building.

"We have commissioned the first launch facility on August, 25th. The delivery of the second launch facility has taken place this week. It included renovation of 500 meters of a landing strip with all necessary measures on water removal, a water drawdown, construction of new communications, to dismantling and mounting of the light-signal equipment on new section and the application of the new runway layout - the full range of operations," the Senior Foreman of building department №8 of the company "Altcom" (it is performing operations at the airport), Sergiy Zinenko said.
