OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2011. The main priorities of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources in 2012 will be the implementation of the National program of clearing of Ukraine from dangerous waste, development of national parks and reserves, as well as implementing on-line environmental monitoring and construction of shelters for dogs.

This was started by Minister of of Ecology and Natural Resources Mykola Zlochevskіy during a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers on 16 November. The Minister noted that the planned expenditures from the state budget for implementation of environmental policy in 2012 will be increased practically in twice - from 320 million UAH up to 616 million UAH.

"Planned expenditures from the state budget demonstrate that the care of a pure environment becomes one of priorities of the Government in following year, - Mykola Zlochevskiy noted. - After the introduction of environmental online monitoring we can get real information on emissions of industrial enterprises and revenues from the payment of environmental taxes will increase several times. It will allow increasing once again expenses on ecological programs".

Furthermore, the Minister said that in 2012 the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources would begin a new kind of waste disposal - electroplating sludge, which is largely accumulated a negative impact on the environment of Kirovograd region. Currently the Ministry funds export for disposal abroad hexachlorobenzene from Kalush district of Ivano-Frankivsk region, with mononitrohlorbenzol from Gorlovka, Donetsk region, beryllium from Kyiv and useless pesticides from almost all regions of Ukraine.

According to Nikolay Zlochevskogo, clearing of Ukraine of unsuitable pesticides will come to the end in 2012 and export mononitrohlorbenzol from Gorlovka - already up to the end of current year.
