OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2011. Mechel (NYSE: MTL), one of the leading Russian mining and metals companies, announces that Mechel-Service was lauded as Russia’s best sales network on the federal level, reported the press-centre of Mechel.

The service and sales network Mechel-Service, which is part of Mechel Group, won the contest for “Russia’s Best Sales Network 2011” in the Best Sales Network of Federal Level category.

The contest was held by Metal Supply & Sales information and publishing group in association with the Russian Union of Metal and Steel Suppliers and the International Industrial Exposition “Metall-Expo’2011”.

Mechel-Service is a Russian-based division of the international sales company Mechel Service Global and provides small-batch and retail sales of steel products through an expansive network of branches throughout Russia as well as a wide range of services. Mechel-Service has 89 warehouses in 72 Russian cities and towns. The company also includes 18 service centers with modern equipment for additional processing of steel rolls.

Mechel-Service Commercial Director Igor Dorozhkin said as he received the winner’s certificate and cup: “This award is an acknowledgement of the work done by our company’s employees — all of them, from a planer to an executive. It confirms the high quality of our service in marketing steel products, which Mechel-Service provides all over Russia.”
