OREANDA-NEWS. November 17, 2011. Mostotrest has entered into a government contract to rebuild a bridge over the Moscow River on Moscow's Smaller Ring Road (running through the communities of Iksha, Noginsk, Bronnitsa, Golitsyno and Istra). The bridge is located at km 25+591 of Moscow's Smaller Ring Road, in the town of Bronnitsa (Moscow Region), between Egoryevskoye and Ryazanskoye Avenues.
The RUB1.998 billion (VAT inclusive) contract is to be completed within 26 months as of the contract date.
Central Russia Federal Highway Directorate of the Federal Highway Agency acts as the client under the rebuilding project designed by Mosgyprotrans. Based on assessment of competitive bids, Mostotrest has been announced as the winner in the open tender for the project.
According to the approved project documentation, the total length of the river crossing will be 1,306.72 meters, with a 309.5 meter-long bridge. Under the project, Mostotrest will build a new bridge within 27 meters downstream of the existing bridge, as well as 2 exits and a pedestrian tunnel, and will re-arrange engineering tie-ins. The existing bridge will be dismantled upon completion of the new construction.
Moscow's Smaller Ring Road designates A107 Federal Highway, popularly referred to as Betonka (Concrete Pad Road) or Pyatidesyatikilometrovka (The 50-Kilometer Drive). Built in the 1950s, the highway is 335 km long, with Kilometer Zero lying at the intersection with Dmitrovskoye Avenue. The highway first appeared on Russia’s Road Map in 1993.
