OREANDA-NEWS. November 17, 2011. JSC SITRONICS (LSE:SITR), a leading supplier of solutions in the field of telecommunications, information technologies and microelectronics in Russia and CIS announced about participation of its subsidiary SITRONICS Microelectronics in the annual international exhibition ChipExpo-2011, which takes place on October 1-3, 2011 in framework of the Russian week of electronics in Moscow in Expocenter.

More than 20 companies from Russia and CIS participated in the “Golden microchip” contest. RFID-tag for automation of work of the cattle-breeding and agricultural companies manufactured by SITRONICS Microelectronics took 2nd place in the nomination “Best product of Russian electronics and microelectronics”.

On its booth SITRONICS Microelectronics presented the RFID-solutions for various industries: microchips for lumber and for trees in forestry, of postings and of cattle.

The RFID-tags used instead of the bar code on envelopes and post packages allow to optimize the logistics, to minimize the impact of human factor, to reduce the time of delivery and to “track” the postings at every stage of their route.

The RFID-tags for automation of the cattle-breeding and of agricultural industries are designed to control the weight gain and milk yield, to follow the schedule of vaccination, to manage the movement of cattle etc. This solution can be efficiently used for accounting, protection and study of seldom species of animals and to struggle the poachers.

The solutions of SITRONICS Microelectronics related to microchips for the lumber allow to automate the registration of forest clearance, to track transportation and sorting and ensure identification of every product unit, excluding the possibility of fraud, illegal forest clearance and wood shipments. The similar advantages of utilization of RFID are available for the forestry as well: tag implanted into the tree determines its species, place and date of cut, technical parameters of wood, purpose etc.  The solutions of SITRONICS Microelectronics for the forestry simplify the registration and update of data regarding the state of the forestland and make protection of seldom and fine wood more efficient.
