OREANDA-NEWS. November 17, 2011. In response to the dynamic growth and development of its international business, the rating agency RusRating has taken the decision to transfer responsibility for operational management to a new General Director: Dmitri Anatolievich Yefimov.
ZAO RusRating announces the appointment of a new General Director. RusRating is a leading national rating agency that has been accredited by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation. Former General Director Richard Hainsworth has been CEO since operations first began in 2001 and in his new position as company President will now focus on strategic issues and expanding the agency’s international business. Key goals include expanding the presence of the parent GlobalRating group across the CIS. The appointment of a new General Director, Dmitri Anatolievich Yefimov, was motivated by the company’s dynamic growth and an expanding international business. Yefimov assumed his duties on 14 November 2011 and until recently served as General Director of the rating agency AK&M.
Commenting on his appointment Yefimov stated: “RusRating’s international partnerships show significant growth potential at this time and at the same time the company intends to actively pursue such promising lines of business as ratings for debt issues and issuers in other sectors. Our plans also call for establishing a solid presence in information services. In any case RusRating’s new and existing clients will continue to receive quality products based on the evolution of established methodologies and strict adherence to a code of ethics developed by the professional community.”
Dmitri Anatolievich Yefimov was born in Saratov on 14 December 1964. In 1988 he graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute with a degree in aircraft construction and went to work as an engineer in this sector. From 1991-1994 he was enrolled as a graduate student (regular programme) at the Moscow Institute of Economics and Statistics, where he defended a thesis on the use of multidimensional statistical analysis in securities market research. Yefimov holds a senior economics degree and is a qualified economics researcher. In 2004 he also trained as an arbitration manager. Alongside his primary employment he continues to engage in research and lectures in econometrics and mathematical statistics at the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics (MESI). He has published a number of academic papers and his research interests include multidimensional statistical analysis of social and economic processes, econometric modelling and non-linear economic processes.
Yefimov has held senior positions in the consulting business (covering industry, finance and education) since 1996 and has worked successfully on the implementation of cross-border education projects.
Yefimov is married. His non-professional interests include bicycle road racing.
