OREANDA-NEWS. November 17, 2011. NGOs will help ensure quality control and availability of drugs. This was started by Mykola Azarov at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The Government is listening to proposals of NGOs representing the rights of patients. In particular, they propose to introduce a public register (or declaration) prices of medicines, to include representatives of patient organizations in the bid committee, to monitor the appropriate conditions for the production of medicines not only for domestic producers, but also for foreigners. That is, to ensure strict quality control and safety of medicines. By the way, the Government has already taken into account this remark and extended control under appropriate conditions of production and drugs and under imported drugs.

In detail issue about the value and quality of drugs will be discussed at tomorrow's meeting, which the head of the Government holds with participation of the Ministry of Health, Academy of Medical Sciences, pharmaceutical companies and public organizations.
