airBaltic Training Expands and Starts New Bombardier Q400 Courses
OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2011. This year airBaltic Training programmes have already attracted almost 3000 professionals from nearly 30 countries. As part of this growth, airBaltic Training has introduced a new training course for external customers – Bombardier Q400 type rating for pilots.
Laila Odina, Chief Operations Officer of airBaltic: “In May 2010 airBaltic received its first state-of-the-art Bombardier Q400 NextGen. Building on the operating experience of the aircraft type we introduced last year, airBaltic Training is now able to offer training courses for external customers to benefit from our knowledge.”
Bombardier Q400 ground training will take place in Riga, full flight simulator sessions in Stockholm; the course will conclude with actual aircraft training in North Hub Riga.
This year alone airBaltic Training has qualified almost 3000 professionals - more than 1500 pilots, almost 1000 cabin crew members and several hundred of ground handlers, cargo agents, security personnel and others. They represented almost 30 countries including Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Spain, Italy, Finland, Estonia, Germany, Belgium, England, Ireland, Iceland, France, Lithuania, Portugal, Netherlands and the CIS.
