Ukraine Will Complete Reconstruction of Okhmatdyt in 2013
OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2011. Construction of new buildings and full reconstruction of the whole hospital "Okhmatdyt" will be completed in 2013. The Prime Minister said this during his visit to the Centre of the bone marrow and Pediatric hematology National Children's Specialized Hospital "Okhmatdyt".
"We fully complete reconstruction of "Ohmatdyt" in 2013 and in Kiev will be modern Children's Hospital of an European level", - Mykola Azarov said.
The Prime Minister stressed that it was set strict deadlines for construction of building, where will be placed the centre of the bone marrow and Pediatric hematology and will be ensured smooth financing. He stressed that it had been allocated 270 million UAH from the budget in this year for this purpose. Next year will be allocated about 900 mln UAH.
"Getting laid, put stringent terms for the construction of this building, because we have to build a modern Kiev Children's Hospital", - Mykola Azarov said. The Prime Minister said that after the completion of this building would be reconstructed the main building "Ohmatdyt."
Moreover, Mykola Azarov informed that the Government was not considering involvement of funds collected at the "Hospital of the Future" to the reconstruction of "Ohmatdyt." He said these funds were collected by public, so the Government can not dispose of them. He stressed that the financing of reconstruction "Ohmatdyt" would be provided through the budget. What about the "Hospital of the Future" and how efficiently dispose of the collected fund - a decision on this would be taken later.
"With regard to funds that are in the fund - as far as I know there all in only 70 million – this is not the money that you can build a hospital", - Mykola Azarov said.
The Prime Minister also met with representatives of NGOs that protect the interests of patients with members of the supervisory board "Ohmatdyt" and promised them to perform preplanned reconstruction "Ohmatdyt." Mykola Azarov suggested them to develop a mechanism for joint control with the public for the construction and arrangement of much-needed children's hematology centre.
