OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2011. The total sum of the road fund remains at the level of 787,98 mln but resources are reallocated by items of expenses, the deputy minister of transport and road infrastructure Boris Gherasim the deputy minister of transport and road infrastructure says.

The ministry was set a task to repair 73 roads schoolchildren are carried from their homes to schools to other towns. The total sum allotted for roads reparation made 466,6 mln. leis in 2011, and as of October, 1 this item was spent on 546,07 mln. leis, as Boris Gherasim explains. This additional money could be transferred from the budgeted expenses for road machineries and equipment which had been purchased at lower prices during tenders.

After the 2011 Road Fund Distribution Program’s updating to be introduced the expenses for service and routine maintenance of roads will make 594,95 mln. leis, primary roads expenses and secondary roads one making 418,34 mln. and 176,6 mln. correspondingly.

In total, as many as 118 mln. leis were allotted for reparation of roads, with 89,03 mln. leis being earmarked for primary roads repairs and 28,07 mln. leis for secondary roads repairs. Purchasing of road equipment is allotted for 60 mn. Leis.
