Estonian Air AirScore Achieved more than Million Wall Impressions
OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2011. Estonian Air’s new loyalty program AirScore got over 1000 members in ten days after its launch and achieved altogether 1 340 000 impressions via Ambassador's walls. Most of the members (76%) are on the first level, 20% on the second level and 4% on the highest (third) level, reported the press-centre of Estonian Air.
Estonian Air launched a social media loyalty programme which is aiming at introducing abroad the national airline and also Estonia as a destination. AirScore is unique in the sense that it changes the idea of current loyalty programmes in the aviation world by rewarding customers and fans for being strong online advocates. For instance, by sharing on their Facebook wall Estonian Air’s offers or information on cultural and sport events taking part in Estonia. An extraordinary fact is that supporters of the airline get rewarded for advocacy without even having to fly the airline.
According to Tero Taskila, the CEO of Estonian Air, the expectations regarding the AirScore have been definitely exceeded. “Achieving this many brand ambassadors and wall impressions in such a short time is a big thing for the airline of our size. We are getting a lot of feedback from our customers about the program and we are reacting to it to develop AirScore further, said Tero Taskila. “SimpliFlying and our marketing team have done a great job in developing this unique reward program for our customers and brand ambassadors,” added Taskila.
To carry out the project Estonian Air involved SimpliFlying, the world leaders in helping airlines engage customers profitably. “The loyalty program has been just launched and we are first ones in the airline industry who has done something like this. We have a lot of exciting developments in the pipeline together with Estonian Air, but we cannot be happier about the success so far. Working with an innovative airline such as Estonian Air has been very valuable for us,” says Shashank Nigam.

Estonian Air, Estonia’s national carrier, is the biggest operator in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. Estonian Air flies non-stop to 20 destinations in CIS, Scandinavia and in Europe. The airline is planning to acquire more aircraft to add flights to Nordic and CIS countries to provide fast and convenient connections to new services in Western Europe in 2012. The prices for Estonian air flights start at 49 euros.
