OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2011. During the first three quarters of 2011 the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) installed ATMs in 18 settlements and POS-terminals in 736 trade facilities and points of service of the country, the bank’s press release says, reported the press-centre of IBA.

As stated in the report, the number of IBA ATMs, according to data on the end of the reporting period, reached 623 units, and POS-terminals – 3668 units, which constitutes 32 percent of all ATMs operating in the country and 32,4 percent of POS-terminals.

From the beginning of the year, the IBA plastic card holders were 60 thousand people. The current number of active plastic cards holders of the bank reaches 1.822.392 units, representing 33 percent of the card market in the country.

International Bank of Azerbaijan was founded in 1992 as the successor of the Azerbaijani branch of “Vnesheconombank”. IBA holds a dominant position in the banking sector of the country. The state share in authorized capital stock of the bank amounts to 50,2 percent, the remaining shares are distributed among private legal and natural persons.
