OREANDA-NEWS. November 15, 2011. The results of one of the most original and spectacular review contests "For maintenance of the aesthetic state of developed springs and water quality improvement" held among TATNEFT Company's enterprises since 1995 were summed up. In addition to the structural divisions of TATNEFT the service companies of Tatarstan also took part in the contest, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

As a result of the working committee inspection of the ecological state of all springs announced for participation and after examining the materials submitted to the contest a decision was taken to award the 1-st place to the springs equipped by NGDU Jalilneft in the first group of structural divisions, the 2-nd was NGDU Nurlatneft and NGDU Almetyevneft ranked the third. Among the enterprises of the second group the prize was awarded to Tatneft-TransService Management Company. Tatneft-RemServis was named a winner in the third group with the second place awarded to Tatneft-Energoservice Management Company.

Meaningful geotechnical activities of oil companies in the areas of TATNEFT Company activities help preventing contamination of drinking water sources. A lot of work is carried out to refresh the small architectural forms of the previously equipped springs.

TATNEFT has designed and implemented a monitoring system for operational monitoring of surface water and groundwater in the territory of the Company's activities. The system of hydro-monitoring covers over 1220 points of observation. The enterprises of the Company have cleared, capped and architecturally rehabilitated more than 500 springs, which are used by the population as drinking water sources.
