OREANDA-NEWS. November 15, 2011. Large-scale introduction of new technical solutions and technologies in the framework of the "Concept of reconstruction and development of the RPM system for the period of 2011-2015" adopted by the Company shall be based on technical solutions that are efficient in terms of increasing the final recovery factor with optimization of energy consumption for injecting the working agent, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

The main direction of the reservoir pressure maintenance (RPM) system development at OAO TATNEFT at the present stage is to improve the functionality of this system with orientation on introducing new innovative technical solutions and technologies.

The following should be mentioned among the promising solutions for improving the water flooding system in the new conditions of the Company's fields' development:

- development of pump-aided borehole-to-borehole and down-hole flooding systems for individual sites, upgrading the existing technological schemes;

- application of various technologies of dual water injection into two or more productive reservoirs with introduction of intellectualization arrangements;

- application of preliminary water removal at the outermost areas of the field, and injection control with determining the reverse cross-flow volumes;

- application of different methods of spills, sensitive and highly reliable means of fluid flow metering, as well as flow and pressure control units;

- application of variable speed drives (VSD), which allow carrying out automatic control of the main equipment operation parameters with the use of flow and pressure control units, etc.

An important feature of introducing these technologies is the complexity of their application at the RPM system facilities, which will ensure achievement of the maximum oil recovery rate and optimize energy consumption.
